First let me thank Nancy in NJ. This idea came from her Brazil Foot Toy idea.
Things you'll need: nuts (walnuts, almonds, and Brazil are used here) with a small hole drilled through each nut (The hole needs to be large enough for the wire to fit through.), three 24" steel wire or one three and a half foot length (I used 14 gauge steel wire), Quick Link, and needle nose pliers.
The one on the left is using the three and a half foot wire. The one one the right is using the three 24" lengths.
Bend one end with the needle nose pliers. With the other end thread the nuts through.
If you are making the single hoop, finish filling up the wire with nuts. When you are finished, thread the end of the second wire into the first end. Bend the wire to connect the two together. Add a Quick Link and you're done.
If you are making the triple hoop, finish filling up the first wire with nuts. Follow the steps above for the first hoop. But for the second hoop, be sure to connect it to the first one before connecting the ends together. Then follow the same steps again for the third hoop and add a Quick Link. You're done.

Stainless Steel Chain

Wooden Dowel cut to appropriate length for your bird
Stainless Steel Eye Hooks
Find the center of your chain and put Quick Link in.
Add beads and wooden spools to cover chain. Drill hole in each end of wooden dowel and screw in eye hooks to attach chain. Add plastic rings/marbella beads to dowel before attaching chain to each end.
This swing can be made as large or small as you need. Just leave the dowel longer and increase the amount of chain you use.
Perfect for parrotlets to macaws!!
